Villa Rica Wrestling is a program that is coming out of a rebuilding period. The past 5+ years VR Wrestling has produced competitive and dedicated wrestlers that have been on a roller coaster with constant change with Coaches year in and out. Now that things have changed and everyone involved has bought in, the future is bright. With the constant change of leadership has unfortunately brought inconsistent funding and fundraising. That doesn’t stop us from continuing to work towards our long term goals . Our program is working hard to raise money to purchase a new mat. We want to be able host more matches/tournaments at our school. We believe that the more we compete at our school would bring more people that we could show our athletes success throughout our community . More people wanting to be involved is a building block to our growth as a program. The program started with one mat 15 years ago. In just 1 year the program has doubled the amount of wrestlers with no plans to slow down. Adding a new mat to the program will allow us to continue to grow, and getting more youth involvement in our community.
